This is blog about marriage in the 1950s. It provided information about what it was like to be married, what age people got married at, and how the marriage industry affected things financially. Also it had details about what actual marriages were like.

Source covers how society has viewed homosexuality through a long time span, but it more intensively covers theories for the cause of homosexuality. The timeline of homosexual activity within the US was very useful for my purposes, but the theories covered were not nearly as useful.

Takes massive quantities of data from a huge study and compiles it into a few key statistics. Very useful information, however, a political agenda is very noticeable throughout, and does damage the credibility of the source.

Focuses on lesbians of the 1950’s to the 1960’s and how their sexuality was viewed at the time. It explains both how the mainly heterosexual public viewed them, as well as how lesbians of the time viewed themselves. Useful for understanding how society viewed lesbianism in the fifties.

Although this would be classified as a popular source, it was still useful during my research, because it discussed various factors, such as the MRS Degree, large families, and stay-at-home mothers, all of which shaped societal views and expectations during the 1950s.
